Shooting Guards
Gerald Wallace will move to shooting guard from small forward and will make the team even more athletic. Wallace averaged 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Wallace is not a three-point threat, but he is excellent at driving to the basket and takes high percentage shots. Wallace was a genius pick in the expansion draft by Bernie Bickerstaff.
Matt Carroll will be the back-up at shooting guard, but he’s a one-trick pony. The only skill Carroll really has, is that he is a good 3-point shooter (37.9%). For his career, Carroll has averaged 7.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
Alan Anderson is in his second year with the Bobcats and will battle Carroll for playing time. Anderson is a good 3-point shooter also (41.4%). Like Carroll, Anderson is a scorer that doesn’t do much else. He averaged 5.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists as a rookie last season.
